“Kathryn was an excellent presenter at our recent Careers Adviser Network meeting. The workshop covered some basics of resume writing and interview techniques, but her insight and long term practical knowledge was insightful and practical that all participants were keen to apply the information. Further information on current trends and employment expectations gave increased knowledge and understanding for all Careers Advisers. I would strongly recommend the Turning Point Consulting programs for an interactive and practical workshop for Careers Advisers.”

“Kathryn has been teaching our groups of young pre-apprentices about how to effectively communicate and resolve conflict since September 2015. The students have gained a lot of skills and self-awareness, even challenging themselves to grow and try new things in these sessions. Kathryn has also helped to boost the confidence of these young men and women ahead of job interviews for their apprenticeships. This confidence boost has been highly effective, with the vast majority of the students finding a position.”

“Kathryn Taylor held a series of workshops at the request of Meriden to help address an outbreak within our Year 12 group of anxiety and negative thinking within the cohort. Kathryn led the girls through a series of activities including a short PowerPoint presentation as well as individual and group work which allowed the students to reflect on their current thinking, the general quality of their self- talk and how to better frame their thinking regarding the future. During the process of the workshops, and with Kathryn’s assistance, the staff were able to identify particular individuals which required more specialised follow up. The students as a whole left with specific strategies with which they could work when facing anxiety and self- defeating thinking. It was a very helpful workshop for the students”

“Kathryn’s work on strengths with our current Year 10s has been fantastic. After undertaking the process prior to using Kathryn for the workshop. I discovered first-hand how effective Strength Quest is in assisting with Goal setting and action planning on our personal strengths. The Year 10 students were involved in a range of interactive activities and were able to start to work on their strengths, find others with similar and complementary strengths. They were able to use this information to help them work out their best study methods, as well as choose a particular strength to develop an action plans to improve upon it. The following workshops were tailored to the College requirements to assist the Year 10s in subject selection. The girls used the information to help decide upon their subjects and study pathways for their future careers. Not only did this help those who were unsure of what they were good at it was successful at raising self-esteem and wellbeing in the girls. Highly recommend these workshops.”

“I have heard it said that behind every expressed frustration is an unexpressed hope. What our training in strengths has provided for our staff and students is a common language by which we can engage in those critical conversations, both respectfully and constructively. Whether it be our leaders openly discussing how we effectively work together in our staff teams, building staff PD plans or addressing how to respond to a challenging student in the classroom. As we have come to know our strengths we are affirmed in the contribution we make and learn to appreciate the contribution of others.”
